I can think of two choices: either get a drum machine like the Alesis SR-16/18 or simply use the drum programming features in GarageBand The first thing we liked about it was the big jog wheel in the upper-right corner, as it works seamlessly with the 12 trigger buttons at the bottom.
The Alesis SR-18 is a complete programmable drum unit with plenty of features and options that can serve guitarists well checked on reverb and the original hr-16 is like $200 for a good one, figured i might as well get a newer model So Alesis SR18, while being a cheaper option, tends to get more favorable ⭐ reviews than the $244 Alesis SR16, as seen on the chart below
SR16 Alesis SR16 Audiofanzine. but i can only surmise that the sr-18 can do the same as the 16, even if it has new added useless features I like those kinds of drum machines because they offer an interesting middle ground between "realistic" multisampled drum libraries and classic electronic drum machines -- I like the combination of acoustic drum textures with an obvious drum machine feel.

Looking to pick up one of the above, leaning towards the SR 18 as it seems to have tons of percussive sounds along with bass sounds, but I only ever see love for the SR 16. I know absolutely nothing about the sr-18, but I've had an SR-16 for ages, and have never been able to program the damned thing, but I use it all.
